It's the week of the biggest rivalry in the SOONER state. OU vs. OSU, Saturday.
Most years there's something serious at stake based on the outcome of this game, like the opportunity to play in the Big XII Championship. That does not appear to be an issue this year. Heh.
I think Bevo's Boys have the Big XII South wrapped up with a big burnt orange bow.
They (the Hookemhorns) might feel a Nervous Nellie or two about the Children of the Corn from Nebraska, however. Should they be matched up with them in the Big XII championship game, the outcome might not be as easy as Mack Brown's smack-talking would imply.
This year BEDLAM!! will be played down in Crimson-and-Cream Land (Norman) as opposed to Pokeytown (Stillwater). Therefore, there's the home-game win-streak at stake, in addition to bragging rights.
I will be in attendance at this game. Unfortunately I think the last time I actually left the comfort of my sofa and TV to watch this particular match-up, the Pokes won. Gahhhh!

After I read this in my feed reader, I had to go back to the top to see if this was on one of the sports homer blogs that I have filed under "Sports." Great homer post! You might get moved from "Friends" to "Sports" if'n you continue to lobby for that tag with posts like this.

Stac...it should be a helluva Bedlam game this year. I'll be thinkin' of you in the madhouse of the stadium while sitting on the couch watching the replays. And let's not have a repeat of past history...

Stac, Games played by students are fun and should be enjoyed. I try to not let my love for the school cloud my respect for the play of the game. Either way, this should be a great game. Both temas will represent Oklahoma in a good way even if half of both teams came from texas. MUD
